Week 9 Flag Football Team Maroon Team Maroon vs. Bartlett Hawks – White
The Maroon Team hit the field on a very chilly October day! Maroon had
some great runs from Mitchell Canales, Nathan Garrison, Ben Hansen and Jack
Luchetti. This was, of course, thanks to the offensive line that included:
Conner Dunfee, Ethan Pugh and Jacob Uhlmann. The defense was also tough as
Bradley Bode, Nathan Garrison, Ben Hansen, Justin Hull, Nathan Hull, Eric
Lovestrand, and Grant Meador grabbed many flags from the Hawks. Even through
the Bartlett team was able to outscore Maroon, the play of the game was when
Jack Luchetti caught a pass thrown by Nathan Garrison!YEAH! The last game of
the season will be played at Mill Creek this coming Saturday! Great team
effort! |
Week 9 08 # Flag Gold
Tri City Chargers Gold vs. Bartlett Green
As we approach our final few games, it is clear to see how much this team
has grown and improved. The boys are playing with focus and determination.
Saturday’s game against the Bartlett Green team, brought out the best of the
Gold and the coaches did another a great job of preparing the team for this
week’s game. In this writer’s opinion, there were 2 offensive highlights of
the game. The first was a reverse that resulted in a 24 yard TD run by
Pantano. The second was a halfback pass from Joey Pantano to Steven
Arrambide that resulted in a 35 yard gain. The Star of the Game, however,
was clearly Collin “The Tiger” Taylor. He was dominating when he ran the
ball. Scoring the 1st touchdown of the game was just icing on the cake. In
total, touchdowns were scored by Taylor, Pantano, Rupp, and Arrambide. We
converted 3 out of 4 PAT’s all by passing. As everyone knows, the touchdowns
would not have been possible without the guys in the trenches. Buza, Domenz,
Sweet, El-Sherif, Birdsong, and Little were OUTSTANDING in their blocking
schemes!!! As you should expect by now, the Defensive unit was not going to
be overshadowed by the glamour boys of the offense. The Defensive unit of
Sweet, Taylor, Little, Birdsong, Mack, Buza, Arrambide, Rupp, and Pantano
were like sharks in a feeding frenzy. They swarmed the ball carriers and
held the opposing team to only 1 TD the entire first half. 1-2-3….GO GOLD!!! |

| Week 8 Bantam 87 Tri City Black Tolle 20 - Tri City McDonald
6
The first playoff game did not disappoint for a team peaking at the right
time. Team Tolle saw scores on the first three plays on the first three
possessions they had. The holes were created by the MVP's of the game the
offensive line starting with Ryan "The Riot" Thiesse, Tyler "Tank" Johnson,
Vance "Saber tooth" Dumas, "Big Nick" Tolle, "Lil Nick" Kortan, and Ben
"Tooth" Anderson. These boys made it possible for scores of 45 yards by
Jacob "57 Ketchup" Preston, 55 yards by Danny "Rocket" Buetow, and 35 yards
by Carson "Blaze" Hughes. On the second score of the game Cade "Blanda"
Callaghan kicked and made the team's first extra point of the season. I
believe I heard chants of "Dairy Queen" screamed as the ball sailed through
the uprights. This was a big moment for the entire team and coaches as it
was practiced for two weeks. Congratulations Cade! On defense the first half
saw a total of 5 total yards gained by team McDonald on the pursuit and
aggressiveness of the defense. Team Tolle's defense of Carson "Blaze"
Hughes, Ben "Tooth" Anderson, "Big Nick" Tolle, Cade "Blanda" Callaghan,
Cody "Sniper" Mitchell, Owen "The Head" Hunter, Garret "Bulldog" Sanders,
Tyler "Tank" Johnson, Jacob "57 Ketchup" Preston, Coner "The Hammer" Dixon,
and Robbie "Golden Arm" Kortan. These guys consistently played hard each
play of the game and can be each credited with a great game. With time
running down in the second quarter Nick Tolle took a handoff and scampered
down the sidelines for a 40 yard run to the opponent's one yard line. This
was the longest run of the season for him and elicited a scream from the
stands by a very happy grandfather. Next week team Tolle plays a tough
Miller team and should be as fun as the first match up they had this season.
Team Tolle improves their record to 7 - 1 and looking to the semi finals. Go
Chargers. |
Week 4 97# Stallmann - Gold
Stallmann - 20 vs Rawson - 12
After a well played game Team Gold is #2 in the Feather NFC! and is heading
to the playoffs after a bye week.
There was excellent effort on the offense, led effectively by #3 Justin
Galante who started the game with a huge run setting up #24 Sammy Grohe for
a TD, the 1st of 3 for him during the game. Justin secured the extra point.
#1 Tyler welter had a big run, giving the team the field position they need
to get a 2nd TD. The defense delivered a solid effort, particularly #20
Miles Williams with some big saves. #7 Bobby Pierce, #36 Sean
Gallagher and #54 Brady Alexander had multiple tackles as well as recovered
or forced fumbles. #29 Alec Welter, #34 Johnny Luna , #44 Cole Weede
and #99 Ryan Goodmiller all had tackles #80 Graham Owen celebrated his b-day
with some great kicks on special teams. GO CHARGERS!! |
Week 7 87# B10 Black
Tri-City Chargers 16 vs. Cary Trojans 0
The Bantam Big 10 team traveled to Cary's house to hand the Trojans only
their 2nd loss of the year by defeating them 16-0. It was not without fight
though as the Trojans held tough in the first half, but as we have proven in
the past our team is relentless and you cannot hold the Chargers at bay for
long. Offensively we moved the ball well but a couple of costly turnovers
kept the game scoreless until the 4th quarter when we exploded for 2 big
scores by Pat "The Bullet" Griffin, adding the PAT's - perfect on the day
was the Coon Dog - Michael "The Boot" Cooney. Leading the charge in the
backfield, Mikey "The General" Hohensee orchestrated 2 long exhausting
drives and hard work by Thomas "The Train" Schroeder & Nico "The Hammer"
Piaskowy kept Cary's offense off the field. Hats off to the "Black Angus
Beef Boys" - the O-line was tremendous making game breaking blocks by Alec
"The Cat" Champine, Dean "The Ravioli" Arriviello, Westin "High Tower"
Wiseman, & Jon "The Glove" Sotirakopulos opened huge holes for our backs.
But the real story here was DEFENSE BABY!!! Not one yard was allowed on this
day as lightning blew from our mouths and we hit like thunder - the D-Line
led by "Slippery" Tyler Storms, Spencer "The Mayor" Olson, Tommy "The Snake"
Laduzinsky & Michael "The Jackal" Jaffe tore it up inside. DE's Nate "The
Beast" Jimenez & Jack "Big Foot" Douglas shut down the D gaps leaving the
Fall clean up to our LB's Lucas "The Truck" Segobiano & Peter "The Stinger"
Ferraro. DB's Mason "The Missile" Alberts (also had a fumble recovery and a
big run on offense), Chris "The Golden Boy" Edlund & Riley "The Torpedo"
Anderson shut down the passing attack and preserved the shutout. The
Chargers improve to 7-0. Week 8 brings the Chargers back home to face the
7-0 Crystal Lake Raiders in what proves to be the match-up of the season.
Don't miss it!!!! |

Week 4 MAKE UP 97LB AFC WHITE (Estrada)
Estrada (White) - 25 vs. Dase (Purple) - 14
Our White team continued to demonstrate the benefits of hard work,
perseverance and strong leadership with another solid victory. We got off to
a great start in the second quarter when Austin Gift broke a long run for a
TD, running through holes created by the crashing blocks of the offensive
line of Kyle King, Kevin Weaver, Aidan Flynn, Cody Johnson and Cade Olinger.
Then, with one minute left in the half, Coach Estrada summoned QB Jack
Morgan to the sideline to discuss his “misunderstanding” of the play called,
all the while planning for Morgan to become the receiver of a 45 yard
passing play from running back Gift who threw the ball after getting the
direct snap. 12-0 at the half. The third quarter was dominated by our
opponent, and we found ourselves down 14-12 to start the fourth. Our defense
once again answered the call, with impressive tackles by Matt Julseth, Jack
Nitti, Joel Hardy, Chris Galena, and Abe Swanson. Then, we mounted a drive
with Morgan connecting with Hardy, solid runs by Gift and Swanson (aided by
Trace Debord re-joining the offensive line), and punctuated with a great
catch by Nick Funk for a TD. 18-14 us. On the ensuing drive, our opponent
broke a long play to the outside, and Charlie Downing came over from his
safety position to make the saving tackle. Shortly thereafter, our opponent
fumbled, with Morgan recovering to give us the ball again. The game was
clinched with the same creative play having Gift throw to Morgan for a 40
yard touchdown. Swanson ran in the extra point to make the final score
25-14. We are peaking just in time for the playoffs, and look forward to
future games and the return of standout player Alex Drumheller (recovering
from pneumonia)…GO CHARGERS!!!! |
Week 9 97#
P10 Gold
Tri City
Chargers (Gold)-13 vs. Tri City Chargers (Silver)-0
Gold
finished their regular season undefeated as they came thru with their 5th
shutout win on Saturday vs. Silver. The onside kick attempt by Silver
resulted in Brendan Feichter recovering the ball giving Gold good field
position. First play “Ski” (aka Ryan Skibinski) ran for a 45 yard
touchdown. Gold’s Defensive line of Tristan Bolin, Liam Kelly, William
Gibson, Dominic Cosentino, Ryan St. Peter and Jon Chapman controlled the
line of scrimmage and forced Silver off the field. Gold’s offense then
took over and after a few plays the offensive line of Aaron Housenga,
Brendan Feichter, Brian Baumgartner, Liam Kelly, William Matthews, William
Gibson and Keegan Hughes kept the defense bottled up inside for enough
time to allow “Ski” to get outside for a 60 yard touchdown. Griffin
Bellano added the extra point with some hard running up the middle. The
rest of the second quarter featured Gold’s defense making many critical
stops. “Dominator” (aka Dominic Cosentino) stripped and recovered the
ball and the offense ran out the rest of the clock to finish the half. 2nd
half resulted in great defense by Gold with Nick Anastasia, Matthew Peruba
and Tristan Bolin all having tackles for losses. Other key tackles by
Nicholas Sherman and Griffin Bellano kept Silver from sustaining any
offensive momentum. Gold’s offense did a great job of keeping drives
alive thus keeping Silver’s offense off the field. The game ended with
each team causing the offense to go 4 and out with Gold running one of the
best plays in football, the “kneel down”. Gold will work hard in their
bye week and be ready for round two of the playoffs. Go Team Skibinski!

Week 8 97# Dase
Dase (Purple) - 14 points vs. Estrada (White)
- 25 points
The weather was great for week 8; the final
game of the regular season. The Purple Toads had a let down for their last
regular season game, losing to Estrada 25 - 14. Despite losing 12 - 0 at
halftime, the Purple Toads offense came alive after halftime. The Toads
offensive unit of Bernie Pellisier, Cogan Cavish, Alex Fortcamp, Donny
Friedel, Mitchell Adams, Greg Dase, Steve MacDonald, Noah Legenski, Derek
Raya, Devin Chrobak, and Nathan Kroll came out inspired after halftime and
scored 2 touchdowns and the corresponding point after to take the lead in
the game 14 - 12. The Toads defensive unit of Bernie Pellisier, Cogan
Cavish, Alex Fortcamp, Luke Sutherland, Donny Freidel, Greg Dase, Grant
Romero, Adam Huber, Noah Legenski, Derek Raya, and Devin Chrobak played
tough against the aerial attack of Estrada. The defensive unit missed
Austin Esposito at cornerback who is still out with a broken ankle, but
may be back for our first playoff game next Saturday against Rapp. The
Purple Toads tied Team Rapp in the regular season, but will train hard
this week for the rematch. Here's looking to a Purple Toads victory in
their first playoff game this Saturday - GO PURPLE TOADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Week4 97# Rawson
Rawson - 12 vs. Stallman - 20
The Rawson Silver
Falcons finished their regular season with a game against Team Stallman.
It was a great fall day for football and the boys rose up and played
hard.
We had some early
struggles figuring our opponents tricky offense. Despite aggressive
defensive play by Jason Turnbull, Jack Doherty and Justin Johnson, we
fell behind 14-0. Our offense came back to life behind the determined
blocking of Connor Williams, Peter Eshbaugh and Stephen Woodcock.
Cameron Canales and Jake Chantos scored on long touchdown runs. Mike
Rawson attempted the two point conversion kick but a strong gust of held
it back. The first half ended with the Silver Falcons down 14-12.
The second half
proved to be much more of a defensive battle. Our boys were real ball
hawks. Mario Folino, Jack Hood and Chris Holloway all recovered fumbles
during the game. Kyle Duermit was busy tackling their runners. Our
opponents managed to score once again. Jackson Kemple took their kick
off and had a nice run. The Silver Falcons offense kept trying to march
down field. Jimmy Fleck had a couple of nice runs late in the 4th
quarter. We never quite made it into the end zone again and ended up on
the wrong end of a 20-12 score.
The Silver Falcons
kept coming back and we look forward to carrying this attitude into our
first playoff game. |

WEEK 8 107 PURPLE
TC-CHARGERS 107-Purple 6 VS TC-CHARGERS 107 Gies 0
The Middleweight Tri-City team of, JJ Reckards, Grant Schiewe, Bradley
Thomas, Scott Robak, Nick Buseski, Jack Wassel, Sean Chambers, Anthony
Lopez, Blake Saltsman, Will Porteous, Alex Bohanek, Matthew Ceinski, Timothy
Roels, Nicholas Barron and Jesse Martinez, for the 2nd straight week we had
a key player injured and unable to play. Blake Saltsman gave us a scare on
Thursday nights practice when he injured his knee. As it turned out he did
not injure his knee as bad as was thought. Further test this week will
determine exactly the extent of the injury. We all wish him a speedy
recovery. Grant Schiewe returned this week and although not at his best he
did make a difference on both sides of the ball. Welcome back Grant!!!!!! We
had many players playing positions they were not familiar with. All and all
the team put in a great effort and came away with a 6-0 overtime win against
the 107 Gies team. The offense gained a net 293 yards on 44 plays , while
the defense held Team Gies to a positive 38 yards of total offense. We just
could not get it into the end zone due to 4 fumbles in the game at critical
times. The two team battled back and forth for four 4 quarters and ended the
game tied at 0-0. Team Gies won the toss to try first in the Kansas City
Shootout. They started out on the 10 yard line. Several false starts put
them on the 25 yard line 1st and ten. On a pass they made up the yardage and
ended up 4th down from the 1 yard line. The Purple defense of Grant Schiewe,
Chewy Martinez, Matt Cienski, Will Porteous, Jeff Reckards, Sean Chambers,
Scott Robak, Jack Wassel, Anthony Lopez, Bradley Thomas and Nick Barron
stiffened and denied Team Guis from scoring a touchdown. The Purple team
took over and with great blocking from the offensive line of Tim Roels,
Grant Schiewe, Nick Buseski, Alex Bohanek, Will Porteous, Chewy Martinez,
Bradley Thomas allowed our backfield of Jack Wassel, Scott Robak and Sean
Chambers led by our Quarterback JJ Reckards to score on 4 downs to win the
game. JJ Reckards with some hard running and great determination banged it
in to the end zone for the winning touchdown and a final score of 6-0 .
Regardless of how bad things are if you give your best on every play good
things will happen. Keep the faith. Things will get better! Remember: GREAT
THINGS HAPPEN TO TEAMS THAT BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!!! PRACTICE HARD
WIN EASY!!!!!!!!! Great job Chargers! |
Week 9 107# Team Leonhard
Tri-City Chargers Leonhard – 0 vs. Tri-City Chargers Birkhaug - 29
With fall beginning to show its colors, the team came to the field
without the able help of Tyler Camp who was injured in the last game and
will be out for the remainder of the season. On their first offensive
possession, Team Birkhaug, foregoing the huddle, steamrolled down the field.
Although there was good defensive play by Daniel Zielecki, Jacob Gabinski,
Jake Llava, and Luke Doncel, Birkhaug was able to score a touchdown within
the first three minutes of the game. When they could not convert the extra
point, the score stood at 6-0. The momentum didn’t change when Birkhaug was
able to recover the ball on an on-side kick. Despite effective gang tackling
of the defense including Nathan Ohse, Chris Impson, Luis Martinez, Kyle
Lorenz, Robert Kudlicki, Michael Hansen and Josh Leonhard, Birkhaug scored
their second touchdown as well as kicking for two extra points just seconds
into the 2nd Quarter. After we turned the ball over on downs, Birkhaug
scored its third TD followed by a two point conversion although their drive
was slowed by the tough defensive play of Llava, Gabinski, and Mitch Davey.
When our offense again lost the ball on downs, Birkhaug was able to score
again mid-way through the 3rd Quarter. Another two point conversion raised
the score to 29-0. When our offense got the ball, it began to make some
progress, with the effective running of backs Leonhard, Llava and Impson
racking up two successive First Downs. On the next series, despite a great
scramble by quarterback Lorenz, the ball was turned over on downs. Birkhaug
was again marching down the field when Impson tackled a player in the
backfield and knocked the ball loose which was recovered by Zielecki.
Unfortunately, the team, despite the effective blocking of Matt Weston and
Andrew Holzapfel, could not make anything happen before the game ended.
Although this was a disappointing loss, the guys showed last week that they
can win. Let’s look for victory next weekend in our last game of the season
and first game in the play-offs. GO CHARGERS! |
Week9- 107# Big Ten
Tri-City Chargers- 14 vs. Cary- 6
The Chargers continued their winning ways
this past Sunday, defeating the Trojans 14-6 in Cary.
Tri City's offense, anchored by the Five
Henchmen O-Line of Alec Jacquot, Matt Meyers, John Vargyas, Matt Leone,
and Brandon Marshall, along with Laren Eustace, moved the ball a net 223
yards. Wide receiver TJ Miller deftly snagged a thrilling 37 yard pass
from steely QB Reid Connolly in the second quarter. Running Back Ramon
Lopez seemed unstoppable, running the ball for 104 yards and one TD
while elusive RB Daniel Santacaterina was not far behind with 92 yards,
including a 56 yard fourth quarter TD that helped put the game away.
Daniel also had five tackles on defense.
The Trojan offense proved no match for the
swarming Charger defense. Johnny Jimenez was on a mission, flattening a
Cary receiver on a kickoff during one of 4.5 tackles (3 for losses) on
the day. Mitchell Riggs and Nick Ferraro were everywhere, each sacking
the Cary QB once, and logging in 5 and 4.5 tackles respectively. TJ
Miller (one interception, 4.5 tackles) and Nick Traxler (4.5 tackles)
both played like men possessed, while Anthony Scaccia (4 tackles), Ryan
Navigato (3 tackles), Ben Slattery (2 tackles), and Judson Huxtable (1
tackle, one deflection) all frustrated Cary's backs and receivers.
Despite a slow start, the Chargers rallied
in the second half and really showed how badly they wanted this one.
Although they missed the play of Nick Derr , the Chargers were able to
move one step closer to their goal of a Championship Season. They vow to
practice hard this week in preparation for Sunday's home game against
Crystal Lake.
Go
Chargers!

Week 8 Tri
City Chargers Middleweight
Team Vruno 7-
Team Perry 20
Team Vruno and
Team Perry locked horns on Saturday afternoon in a battle of the leagues
top teams. Team Vruno put up a great fight but fell short in the 20-7
team Perry Victory. Justin Nebel was everywhere for Team Vruno as he
scored a touchdown on a long 37 yard run with 8 second left in the first
half then proceeded to pound it in for the extra point which gave Vruno a
7-6 lead. He also ran for 78 yards and had an interception on the
defensive end. The Vruno defense stepped up and had some first time
defensive players do an outstanding job of filling in for the injured Matt
Loberg. Nebe l, Mac Read, and Riley Kral were told on game day they would
be playing on the defensive side and really held their own without any
practice. The offensive line of Andrew Modjeski, Josh Black, Colin
Stuhlmacher, and Evan Wiseman focused on holding blocks to open up the
running game which really helped spring some great runs. Chris Davis,
Jack Housenga, Cody Kronkow and Grant Schumock played a great game on the
defensive side of the ball. Schumock had 2 tackles and a fumble recovery.
Bret Reed was outstanding at putting pressure on the Perry Quarterback
which resulted in many arrant throws one of which resulted in an
interception. The special teams unit was outstanding again, and for the
second straight week they recovered 2 onside kicks.
Kicker J.J. Vruno placed the ball perfectly, once for Jack Ahern
and again for John Helgeson who each had an onside recovery. Team Vruno
was on the down side of the score this time but with their heads up high
will look to change their fortune this week as they practice for the
makeup game next Saturday.

Week 9 #107 TCC Middleweight Team Perry (20) vs. Team Vurno (7)
I can't believe we are into week 9 already and mother nature is
still blessing us with gorgeous football weather. Our team is showing
off everything that the coaches are teaching them by executing great
plays and never giving up. The game started off a little rough in the
1st quarter but Team Perry stayed with the game plan and turned it up a
notch to beat Team Vruno. The final score was Team Perry (20) vs. Team
Vurno (7).
Tyler Lovestrand once again led his offense to 3 touchdowns and a
win. The first touchdown came as we were inside the 10 yard line on a
great pass to Jake Clodi. The second touchdown was on a breakaway 67
yard run by Nick Edlund right after Alex Filipos recovered a fumble to
give us the ball. The third touchdown was a great goal line run by
Anthony Adduci that was set up by a 37 yard run for a first down by Nick
Edlund. The extra point was scored after the third touchdown by Lance
Arni who kicked it through the uprights giving Team Perry 20 points in
all. The offensive line consisting of DJ Rizzi, Erik Boehmer, Jake
Asquini, Lance Arni, Charlie Tortorice and Luke Juriga allowed Tyler
plenty of time to throw quite a few passes today to Brock Perry, Jake
Clodi and Kyle Khoury. The line also opened up some big holes for
Anthony Adduci and Nick Edlund to run for big yardage.
Our defense forced 2 penalties, 3 turnover on downs, an interception
by Kyle Khoury, a fumble recovered by Alex Filipos and many excellent
tackles to keep Team Vruno to only 7 points. Turning in some great
hitting and tackling today was Ben Strah, Kyle Khoury, Luke Juriga, Matt
Fisher, Anthony Adduci, Jake Clodi, Nick Edlund, Brock Perry, Kaleb
Sanchez, Tyler Lovestrand and Charlie Tortorice. Ben and Kyle had a big
impact on keeping Team Vurno to limited yardage.
Overall our team had a good day with enough highlights to fill a
segment on ESPN. Going into Week 10 we are looking strong and playing
smart. The coaches are feeling confident that this team has what it
takes to win the rest of our games. Keep up the hard work and never give
up. We are getting to the end of the season and it's really showing as
the team is playing well, making less mistakes and constantly adding to
the play list.
