Week 7 08 # Flag Gold
Tri City Chargers Gold vs. Tri City Charges Blue
Both the offense and the
defense were firing on all cylinders for this game. The STAR OF THE GAME
was Jacob Sweet and what a fantastic game he played. He was everywhere,
running hard on offense and harassing the ball carriers on defense. But
this game did not just belong to one player; it was another example of how
well you can perform when you play as a team. Our Defensive lineup of
Sweet, Taylor, Little,
Birdsong, Mack, Buza, Arrambide, Rupp, and Pantano controlled the line the
entire game. Our starting offense consisted of Taylor, Domenz, Sweet,
Dunklau, El-Sherif, Rupp, Pantano, Arrambide, and Buza pulled out all of
the stops. Reverses, complete passes, and plain ‘ole hard nose up the
middle rushes were executed to perfection. Highlights included TD runs by
Pantano, Arrambide, Rupp, Domenz, and Taylor. OUTSTANDING GAME GOLD!!!

Week 7A 08 # Flag Gold
Tri City Chargers Gold
vs. Tri City Charges Red
As they say….all good
things must come to an end. The boys played a hard nosed game against the
Red team, but we were our own worst enemy today. The fire and
cohesiveness just weren’t there. Regardless of the outcome, the coaches
and parents were very proud of how the Gold team played today. Keep your
chins up boys, this was only one game.
|
Week 8 08 # Flag Gold
Tri City Chargers Gold vs. Tri City Charges Green
THE BOYS ARE BACK!!!
After a 1 game hiatus, the Boys in GOLD have returned. The game started
off with a huge play. A halfback pass from Buza to Pantano resulted in a
spectacular 42 yard Touchdown. This play set the tone for the rest of the
game. Spence “The Bruiser” Birdsong was the featured back and he ran with
focus and poise. However, as our coaches repeatedly say, this is a team
game and everyone player must do his part for us to execute. Taylor,
Domenz, Sweet, Birdsong, El-Sherif, Rupp, Pantano, Arrambide, and Buza
executed the offense to perfection. Not only did we have a halfback pass
for a TD, Rupp completed a 5yd pass to Arrambide for the 2nd passing TD of
the game. Now don’t be fooled, there was more to this game than offense.
Sweet, Taylor, Little, Dunklau, Mack, Buza, Arrambide, Rupp, and Pantano
were back to their run stuffing ways on defense. It was another team
effort that resulted in a perfectly executed game. CONGRATS GOLD….GOOD TO
HAVE YOU BACK…1-2-3 GO GOLD!!!
|
Week 8A 08 # Flag Gold
Tri City Chargers Gold vs. Bartlett Blue
If this game didn’t keep
you on the edge of your seats, then you must not have been paying
attention. This game had all of the makings of an instant classic.
Touchdowns by Rupp, Birdsong, and Taylor were all set up by the
outstanding work of the entire offensive unit which also consisted of
Domenz, Sweet, El-Sherif, Pantano, Arrambide, and Buza. Though it was
hard fought, the 1st half belonged to the Gold. This was due in part to
the hard work exhibited by the defensive unit. Sweet, Taylor, Little,
Dunklau, Mack, Buza, Arrambide, Rupp, and Pantano played their hearts out
and were successful in keeping the Bartlett team frustrated and unable to
put together more than 1 good drive in the half. The 2nd half,
unfortunately, belonged to the Bartlett Boys. That is… until the last
play of the game. The crowed was in a frenzy…Gold had the ball on the
Bartlett 5 yard line….Rupp dropped back…he fired a pass to
Taylor…Touchdown. WOW!!! What was the final score, you might ask???
Well, we leave that to your imagination. But this was certainly the most
exciting game of the season. Back and forth until the last play. It
doesn’t get any better. GREAT GAME GOLD…DON’T EVER QUIT. 1-2-3 GO
GOLD!!!

Week 6 87# B10 Black
Tri-City Chargers 24 vs.
Grayslake Colts 6
The Bantam Big 10 team greeted
the GL Colts with a good old fashion whooping - winning 24-6. Offensively
the Chargers scored 24 unanswered points in the first half - with 2 TD's
from Thomas "The Train" Schroeder and TD from Pat "The Bullet"
Griffin, Michael "The Boot" Cooney was perfect on the day 3 for 3 !
Mikey "The General" Hohensee commanded the offense well, as his
offensive line did a fine job up front. Making key blocks in the middle were
the "Black Angus Beef Boys" - Westin "High Tower" Wiseman, Alec
"The Cat" Champine, Jon "The Glove" Sotirakopulos, Dean "The
Ravioli" Arriviello and Jack "Big Foot" Douglas all of whom
opened huge holes for their backs. On Defense we were relentless, Having a
big day at MLB - Peter "The Stinger" Ferraro has several big tackles
and fumble recovery. Also making big stops at LB was Nico "The Hammer"
Piaskowy & Lucas "The Truck" Segobiano. Our D-Line was led by Nate
"The Beast" Jimenez, Spencer "The Mayor" Olson, "Slippery"
Tyler Storms, Tommy "The Snake" Laduzinsky & Michael "The Jackal"
Jaffe who plugged the inside gaps and we even fired missiles and torpedoes -
Mason "The Missile" Alberts & Riley "The Torpedo" Anderson.
Chris "The Golden Boy" Edlund did a fine job at safety as well. The
Chargers improve to 6-0. Week 7 puts the Chargers on the road to face The
Cary Trojans. Please come and Cheer us on! GO CHARGERS!!!! |
Week 7 Bantam 87
Tri City Black Tolle 24 - Tri City Carvish 0
The regular season
ended on a high note for Team Tolle with a great team effort on both sides
of the ball. The first play on defense saw Carson "Blaze" Hughes strip the
ball from the ball carrier. Then the first drive on offense saw Danny
"Rocket" Buetow and Jacob "57 Ketchup" Preston run the ball. However, it was
Conner "The Hammer" Dixon making a great block to open up a huge hole for
Danny "Rocket" Buetow to score on a long run. Cade "Blanda" Callaghan tried
to kick an extra point for the first time this year and it fell just short.
The defense consisting of Robbie "Golden Arm" Kortan, Tyler "Tank" Johnson,
Jacob "57 Ketchup" Preston, Ben "Tooth" Anderson, "Big Nick" Tolle, Owen
"The Head" Hunter, Cade "Blanda" Callaghan, Carson "Blaze" Hughes, Conner
"The Hammer" Dixon, and Cody "Sniper" Mitchell once again came up big when
Garret "Bulldog" Sanders recovered a fumble on the ensuing defensive series.
The Offense put up 24 total points in this game with good blocking from Ben
"Tooth" Anderson, "Big Nick" Tolle, and Vance "Saber tooth" Dumas. Long td
runs by Carson "Blaze" Hughes, and Cade "Blanda" Callaghan showed the depth
of talent on this team. In the second half great ball control with tough
running from Cody "Sniper" Mitchell, Owen "The Head" Hunter, Garret
"Bulldog" Sanders, and Ryan "The Riot" Thiesse allowed team Tolle to seal
the win. A great win by team Tolle in its final game of the regular season,
which finishes with a 6 - 1 regular season record. The team looks forward to
starting the playoffs next weekend. |

Week 8 97# P10 Gold
Tri City Chargers (Gold)-26 vs. Tri City Chargers (White)-6
“B-Bomb” aka Brian
Baumgartner started the game with a great kick-off to White and Nicholas
Sherman recovered the ball. Seconds later, Ryan Skibinski had a 25 yard
run to put the Chargers in great field position. The right side of the
offensive line William Gibson, Jon Chapman, William Matthews and Liam
Kelly blocked together and Griffin Bellano finished the drive scoring the
first TD. Gold kicked off again with Nick Anastasia creating a key
tackle. The safety, Ryan Skibinski, caused a fumble and Jon Chapman
recovered it on Gold’s 41. The very next play Griffin Bellano ran 59
yards for a TD. Matthew Peruba went in for the extra point. Tristan
Bolin, Kelly Liam, William Gibson, and Dominic Cosentino on defense worked
as a team to stop White on downs. Gold took over on their own 39. Aaron
Housenga and Brendan Feichter on the left side of the offensive line
sustained their blocks that enabled “Ski” aka to run for a 61 yd. TD.
Gold recovered the kickoff on White’s 40 yd. Line. Another TD came with
Matthew Peruba running and breaking tackles for a 26 yd. TD. Nicholas
Sherman added the extra point. After a series of defensive stops in the
2nd half and lots of offensive running by several of Gold’s running backs,
they were able to proudly walk away with their 7th win with ZERO losses.
They’ll be practicing hard this week and focusing on next Saturday’s last
regular season game. Two key players, Keegan Hughes and Ryan St. Peter
were missed on the field this week. They look forward to having them back
next week. Keep up the great teamwork Gold!!

Week7
97# Dase
Dase (Purple) - 26
points vs. Rawson (Silver) - 0 points
It was great weather for
week 7 of the season. The Purple Toads (aka Team Dase) dominated Rawson
from the opening kickoff to final gun. The Toads defense of Bernie
Pellissier, Cogan Cavish, Alex Fortcamp, Luke Sutherland, Donny Friedel,
Greg Dase, Grant Romero, Adam Huber, Noah Legenski, Derek Raya, and Devin
Chrobak dominated Rawson on the line of scrimmage not allowing them to
score the whole game. We missed the play of Austin Esposito on defense
who's out with a broken ankle. The Toads offense of Bernie Pellissier,
Cogan Cavish, Alex Fortcamp, Donny Friedel, Mitchell Adams, Greg Dase,
Grant Romero, Noah Legenski, Derek Raya, Devin Chrobak, and Nate Kroll
committed no mistakes on their way to scoring 26 unanswered points
against Rawson. Steve MacDonald was missed on the offensive line, but he
will be back next week. The team will train hard this week for their last
regular season game against Estrada. Here's looking to another Purple
Toads victory this weekend - GO PURPLE TOADS!!!!
|
Week 8 97# Stallmann - Gold
Stallmann - 12 vs Estrada - 12
Despite some good individual efforts and the 1st score the team was
unable to find their mojo and settled for a tie. Score was 6-6 at the half
and 12-12 after OT. Some key plays: #3 Justin Galante had an interception,
#24 Sam Grohe had 2 TDs, #20 Miles Williams stopped the extra point to keep
it tied up at the half and had a fumble recovery, #62 Jake Kappel celebrated
his 10th birthday on the D-Line. Next week Gold is looking forward to some
rigourous practice to get ready for the playoffs. GO CHARGERS!! |

WEEK 8 107 PURPLE TC-CHARGERS
107-Purple 0 VS TC-CHARGERS 107 Perry 19
The Middleweight Tri-City team of, JJ Reckards, Grant Schiewe, Bradley
Thomas, Scott Robak, Nick Buseski, Jack Wassel, Sean Chambers, Anthony
Lopez, Blake Saltsman, Will Porteous, Alex Bohanek, Matthew Ceinski, Timothy
Roels, Nicholas Barron and Jesse Martinez, had a dismal day of football. It
seemed a black cloud was hovering over the team even before the game began.
Grant Schiewe was hurt in a freak accident at home and ended up being
hospitalized. We all wish him a speedy recovery. The team did not play to
its potential today. We lost to a 107lb Perry team 19-0. I apologize for not
having stats. My printer died last night and I could not replace it in time
to print the tracking sheets. The offense did not gain a lot of yardage and
the defense allowed a lot of yardage as the score would indicate. Regardless
of the score there are some very positive things that happened in this game
that should not go unrecognized. Bradley Thomas was placed in key positions
in the offense and defense and played extremely well, Jesse Martinez had his
best game of the year on both offense and defense. Coach Saltsman asked
Jesse in practice and before the game to rise to the challenge and
neutralize one of the other teams best players. BOY DID HE EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Another highlight came in the closing seconds of the first half when Team
Perry had a first down on our 4 yard line. The defense rose to the occasion
and held Team Perry from scoring a touchdown. WHAT A GREAT STAND!!!!!!!
After reviewing the film I have to extend Kudos’ to Blake Saltsman for
making a whopping 16 tackles !!!!!!. IT DOES NOT GET BETTER THAN THAT!!!!!!!
Also congrats to Sean Chambers for his exceptional play on both offense and
defense. WHAT A GREAT EFFORT !!!!!!! All these highlights were great but I
have saved the best for last. Team Perry kicked off to the Purple team. Alex
Bohanek caught the ball on the run and dashed 58 yards for a touchdown,
unfortunately because Alex is a stripper he is not allowed to advance the
ball. We don’t care he still out ran their best players. Even though it did
not count as a touchdown our team felt his touchdown did count as a beacon
of hope and inspiration. Regardless of how bad things are if you give your
best on every play good things will happen. Keep the faith. Things will get
better! Remember: GREAT THINGS HAPPEN TO TEAMS THAT BELIEVE IN
THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!!! PRACTICE HARD WIN EASY!!!!!!!!! Great job Chargers! |
Week 7 107# Team Leonhard
Tri-City Chargers Leonhard – 14 vs. Tri-City Chargers Gies – 7
The sun shone brightly on the team as it racked up its first victory of
the season. In the first quarter, the defense rose to the challenge, with
the aggressive tackling of Josh Leonhard, Tyler Camp, Robert Kudlicki, Mitch
Davey, Kyle Lorenz, Jake Gabinski, Luis Martinez, Luke Doncel, Daniel
Zielecki, Chris Impson, Nathan Ohse, and Jake Llava thwarting Team Gies from
making much progress on the field. In the second quarter, Camp caught a well
thrown pass by quarterback Lorenz and ran the ball almost 40 yards down to
Gies’ 5 yard line. When he bobbled the ball, Doncel made a quick recovery.
Although the offense was not able to score, the team did earn 2 points on a
safety when one of its opponents fell in the end zone with the ball. The
score held until the third quarter when Gies marched decisively down the
field, crossing the end zone for a touchdown followed by an extra point. On
the next offensive series, linemen Matthew Weston, Andrew Holzapfel,
Gabinski, Kudlicki and Davey held tight, allowing running back Leonhard to
run for 7 yards followed by Llava who made an awesome 38 yard run to Gies’ 5
yard line. With gutsy running, Impson moved the ball to the one yard line.
On the next play, Gabinski recovered a bobbled ball and stepped into the end
zone for a touchdown, making the score 8-7. On Gies’ next offensive series,
there was a fumble and Ohse recovered. On the next play, Impson scampered
down the field for 45 yards, moving the ball to Gies’ 11 yard line. After
Llava gained 2 yards, Impson ran the ball over a pylon into the end zone.
When the officials said he had stepped out of bounds, the ball was placed a
few inches from the goal line. A couple plays later, Leonhard bulldozed over
the goal line for a touchdown, making the score 14-7. The defense continued
to stymie Gies’ progress with effective gang tackling. On one play, Gabinski
stopped a Gies player by shoving him off the field. With a minute and a half
left in the game, Lorenz made an impressive run on fourth down. When Gies
was penalized 15 yards for a face mask, the team earned a first down,
keeping the ball until time ran out. Here’s looking for another win next
week! GO CHARGERS! |
|
Week 8 TCC Middleweight #107 Team Perry (19) vs. Team Saltsman (0)
Team Perry took advantage of a fantastic day for football by scoring on
our second possession and never looking back. We played a team that has been
successful in the passing game and we shut them down to the short game. We
forced 4 incomplete passes and had 2 interceptions. With 8 first downs, 7
complete passes, 3 touchdowns and 1 extra point our offense had one heck of
a day. Go Team Perry! Defense not only stopped the pass with great coverage,
but they pressured the run with great hitting and tackling by Jake Clodi,
Alex Filipos, Matt Fisher, Ben Strah, Nick Edlund, Anthony Adduci, Kyle
Khoury, Tyler Lovestrand, Brock Perry and Luke Juriga. Kyle Khoury and
Charlie Tortorice each had an interception. Late in the 3rd Quarter Charlie
Tortorice intercepted the ball for a 60 yard touchdown. It gave us a 13-0
lead and really opened up the game by turning up the momentum. Offense was a
powerhouse today! We ran, we threw, we put points on the board. While
defense provided 6 points, the offense had 2 touchdowns and an extra point.
Great running by Kyle Khoury, Anthony Adduci and Nick Edlund who had
approximately 90 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Lovestrand threw 7 complete
passes including a nice one to Brock Perry for a great catch and a
touchdown. That set up the extra point pass from Tyler to Jake Clodi. Tyler
had the time today to orchestrate the offense and make good passes because
the line blocked well and kept Team Saltsman at a distance. The Offensive
Line of Team Perry is DJ Rizzi, Erik Boehmer, Jacob Asquini, Caleb Sanchez
and Luke Juriga. Keep it up team! We're 4-2 going into week 9. |
107# Team Teafoe, 18 vs Team Vruno, 12
Let's start out by saying "WOW, what a game!" With Team Teafoe short not
only on Coaches, but on players as well... Coaches Hickey, Huff and
Mortensen took over the wheel and steered our team to a big victory! With
missing our two main linebackers, Teafoe and Schultz and with Brandon Medder
out sick, our 12 remaining boys playing in the hot weather and in positions
they have never played before, played with such intensity and got a WIN!
With Team Teafoe on the board first at 6-0. Team Vruno came back to score
and even it up at 6-6 and failed to convert on their 2 point kick attempt.
The score volleyed back and forth with us scoring a second time and then
Vruno scoring again. Both teams failed on the extra points. Team Teafoe
scored a third time making the score 18-12. With a minute plus left in the
game Team Vruno drove down field coming dangerously close to the goal line,
but on their 4th down a pass attempt failed and the ball was turned over to
us to end the game! Congratulations to Team Teafoe for a game well played!
Quinn Calcagno, Ryan Perrotta, Kyle Brown, Vince Basile, Jake Matula,
Brandon Huff, Jarrod Raap, Patrick Rosencrants, Brett Hickey, Stratton
Mortensen, Jonathan Boenzi and Spencer Sharpe... as Coach Teafoe would say,
"GIVE YOURSELVES A PAT ON THE BACK!" Next week is our bye week and we will
be practicing hard to face Team Kaufman in 2 weeks! The Team looks forward
to the return of Wyatt Teafoe, Jack Schultz and Brandon Medder! GO CHARGERS! |

Week 7 Tri City Chargers Middleweight
Team Vruno 12- Team Teafoe 18
Team Vruno drops a close one on Saturday afternoon in a high scoring
affair. The loss brings Vruno back to a .500 record at 3-3. Team Vruno
has played every losing game close as each of the losses was determined by
a few close plays. Coach Vruno has pointed out how this team can play
with any team in the league and be competitive. In the trenches on the
offensive side of the ball were Josh Black, Andrew Modjeski, Riley Kral,
and Colin Stuhlmacher. They enabled fleet footed Justin Nebel to run for
72 yards on the day with a couple of big runs of 20 and 25 yards. J.J.
Vruno threw for 30 yards going 3 for 8 with a T D. Jack Ahern also threw
a beautiful pass on a flea flicker to the right side that was broken up.
Ahern had 56 yards rushing, 5 of which came on a touch down run early in
the first half to tie the game at 6. Ahern also caught a Vruno pass from
15 yards out to tie the game once again in the second half. Brett Reed
caught a deep ball late in the 3rd quarter on a third down play keeping a
drive alive. The passing game is starting to come to life which will
really help compliment the strong running game for Vruno. The defensive
play of Chris Davis, Mac Read, Evan Wiseman, John Helgeson, Cody Kronkow,
Matt Loberg and Grant Schumock kept the game close. The defense was
challenged by a fast offense o n the Teafoe side of the ball and should be
commended fro their tuff play. The special teams unit was outstanding
covering the kick offs taking away two onside kicks, one covered by the
speedy Jack Housenga the other swallowed up by Ahern. The boys played
hard and many great things came out of this game, hopefully they can take
these game experiences and use what them in a victory next week against
Team Perry.

MISSING WEIGHT #

|
Soto "Silver" 26-vs. Bonebrake "Purple"-0
Another fine performance by Soto's "Silver" Machine this past Saturday.
"Shock and Awe" was the look of our opponent as total domination was shown
by the entire team. The offense of Dylan Morgan, Jack Glavin, Brennen
Hansen, Jackson Brummel, Ryan Anderson, Nicholas Stich, Isaiah Baerenklau,
Justin Fischbach, Chase Raap and Jordan Soto took the field with a win on
their mind. Keating goes left...Keating goes right...Keating takes it to the
house for the first TD of the game. Score 6-0. QB Sablowski then throws an
impressive 15yd. pass into the welcoming hands of Isaiah Baerenklau for yet
another TD. The defensive players...Joshua Kibler, Liam Yeargin, Dylan
Morgan, Jack Glavin, Jackson Brummel, Alec Keating, Isaiah Baerenklau,
Justin Fischbach, Nathan Sablowski, Chase Raap, Nicholas Stich, and Jordan
Soto run out to the field to hold the opponent to a mere 30 yards allowed
for the entire game. A true showing of what this defense is made of. The
second quarter brought another two touchdown's...an effortless 10yard pass
by QB Sablowski to the quick footed-Baerenklau. Keating takes the ball and
runs 65yds down the field into the endzone. The last quarter of the game,
the offense again took the field and a quick handoff to Nicholas Stich
produced a 55 yard run down the field to score his first TD of the season.
There are so many hightlights of this game.....including Dylan Morgan's
two...yes, I said two recoveries of the onside kick. Jordan Soto with an
impressive three...yes, I said three...blocked passes and an interception
for a run of 25 yards. Leading rushing yards of this game go to Alec Keating
with a 147, Nicholas Stich with 66, and Justin Fischbach with 47. An
impressive showing of tackles this week were made by Jackson Brummel, Nathan
Sablowski, Jack Glavin and Liam Yeargin. This game will go in the win column
for Soto's Silver machine. The team will be practicing hard to get ready for
our final game of the season against undefeated Skibinski. GO CHARGERS! |
