Team Maroon
Team Maroon vs.
Tri-City White
Hot, Hot, Hot was the name of the game, and we are not
just talking about the weather! The Maroon team hit the field with a
vengeance! The offensive line consisting of Bradley Bode, Ben Hansen,
Justin Hull and Jacob Uhlmann opened holes for Nathan Garrison,
Mitchelle Canales, Conner Dunfee and Eric Lovestrand who each scored
touchdowns for the Maroon Team. The white team tried to come back and
managed to score a couple of times, but with the help of Nathan Hull,
Jack Luchetti and Ethan Pugh grabbing flags, Maroon came out on top this
week! Great team effort Maroon! Next week we are home again versus
West Chicago White. |

Week 5 08 # Flag Gold
Tri City Chargers Gold vs. Bartlett Blue
WOW!!!! What a game.
This was truly a team effort. The Defensive was unmovable and did not
allow a 1st down until late in 2nd half. Sweet,
Taylor, Little, Birdsong, Mack, Buza, Arrambide, Rupp, and Pantano
controlled the line the entire game. The ’85 Bears could learn a thing or
two from this group of boys. The offense operated like a well oiled
machine and Drea “Dynamite” Domenz was the easily the Star of the Game
this week by scoring two PATs. Taylor, Domenz, Sweet, Dunklau, El-Sherif,
Rupp, Pantano, Arrambide, and Buza were outstanding. The Gold team even
completed 3 passes for big yardage. The game was highlighted by
touchdowns runs from Arrambide (1), Rupp (2), and El-Sherif (1). Another
Great Game. 1-2-3 GO GOLD!!!

Week 5 87# P10 Green
TCC Cavish Green Team, 0 vs TCC Silver Team, 18
The Cavish Green Team entered Saturday’s gridiron match against the
Silver Team with a determined goal of getting in the “Win” column after a
tough defeat the previous week. The Green Team defense with highlight reel
tackles by Michael Davis, Ben Bohanek, Jeremy Baranauskas and Dan Daley,
opened the game by stuffing Silver Team’s offense and resulting in huge
losses. With early momentum on their side, Team Green’s offense, led by a
rejuvenated “O” line and hard charging Ryan Piontek and Kain Donohoo,
attempted to deflate Silver Team’s defense, but were unable to sustain a
drive. Aside from a lone “TD” pass resulting in a Silver Team 6-0 lead, Team
Green’s much improved defense yielded little yardage. Bone rattling gang
tackles by Kyler Cavish, Ryan Piontek, Sean Galle, Bob Bohanek, Tyler Hahn,
Matthew Conroy, Jack Lewis and a crowd pleasing interception by Dan Daley,
kept Team Green within striking distance at half time. An early 3rd quarter
touchdown by Team Silver built a 12-0 lead and deflate hopes of a comeback.
Throughout the 2nd half, Team Green’s offensive line of Trevor Golnick, Jake
Bridges, Jack Klbecka and Bryson Welter were stifled in attempts to open
running lanes and mount any attack against Team Silver’s defense. In spite
of a seemingly lopsided final score of 18-0, Team Green’s defense played a
strong game and look forward to building on their play leading into next
week’s game. |
WEEK 6 87# MEAN MACHINE CHARGERS
MEAN MACHINE 18 - TEAM CAVISH 0
After a couple of tough losses, the Mean Machine was clicking on all
cylinders this week. We were on the attack from the very beginning. After
recovering the opening kickoff, brothers Calvin and Declan McDonald turned a
4th and 6 into an electric 40 yd. touchdown reception. From there, our
defense was stout. Led by Egon Hein, Simon Parsons, Johnny Vrba, Matt & Jack
Groskopf, Antonio Esposito, Brendan Ivie, Sean Baumgartner, Carson Nenni,
and the brothers McDonald, the opposition did not gain a first down the
entire game. In the second half, behind the stellar play of the offensive
line led by Sean Tarpey, Jordan Evans, Sam Rubidge, Simon Parsons, Johnny
Vrba, Carson Nennni, & Brendan Ivie, the yards started to pile up. Sean
Baumgartner took an end around and with a devastating stiff arm, scampered
50yds to paydirt. Our final score saw Calvin McDonald take a bootleg 47yds
into the endzone. It was a phenomonal team effort this week and hopefully
the sign of things to come. Great job Mean Machine. |
Week 5 Bantam 87
Tri City Black Tolle 14- Tri City Miller 12
The Black team came out strong this week after a week of tough practices.
Coach Tolle told the boys before the contest that the game would be won or
lost depending on how well our offensive and defensive line preformed. This
would be the case in the hardest game of the season so far. For the second
straight week the game started out with Callaghan kicking the ball out of
reach from the receiving team and then Buetow falling on it. The Black team
took the first play for a touchdown when Buetow who took a sweep around the
end keyed by a block by R. Kortan 40 yards for the score. The extra point
was made around left end by terrific blocking by Dixon and Dumas. The
following defensive series saw Team Miller run 60 yards up the middle for a
TD. However, team Tolle stopped the extra point making the score 7-6. After
this point both teams settled down and played great offense and defense.
Team Tolle's offensive line anchored by Hughes and Anderson along with
veterans Johnson, Dumas, Callaghan, Thiesse, and Tolle controlled the game
by not letting in an aggressive defense get to the running backs or
quarterback. Our defensive line of Sanders, R. Kortan, Preston, Johnson, and
Tolle kept a high powered and efficient Miller offense in check most of the
day. Then with the line backers of Dixon, Callaghan, Hughes, and Mitchell
along with Hunter playing safety the defense came to play. Big open field
tackles by Hughes, Dixon and Anderson were the theme all day. A broken play
near the end of the half saw Team Miller score a TD but another failed
conversion saw the halftime score 12-7. Team Tolle got the ball first in the
second half and marched down the field for the score and the lead with good
up front blocking by the line a good seal block by Dixon and Preston to
spring Buetow for his second TD of the game. Another extra point conversion
saw Tolle and Callaghan open up a big hole for the score. With the score now
14-12 Team Tolle once again fell on the kick off recovered by Preston. But a
strong Miller defense stopped the momentum and both teams went back and
forth. Many kids went to the sidelines during this hot game and saw the
conditioning and depth of team Tolle with Hunter, Dumas and Sanders being
critical substitutions on offense and defense. Near the middle of the fourth
quarter the better conditioned team Tolle saw the line take over the game
with a health dose of power running by Preston and Dixon chewing up 5 of the
final 7 minuets of the game. A good Miller team took over the ball with 2
minuets left and no timeouts. They tried the no huddle offense which saw a
couple gains to the left and right side but big tackles by Hunter, Mitchell,
Thiesse, and Sanders saw them run out of bounds with 45 seconds left. The on
the next play Preston broke into the backfield and stripped the ball away
from the running back and fell on the fumble to seal the win for team Tolle.
A great win for the team which saw their record improve to 4-1. Go Chargers! |

Week #6
97# P10 Gold
Tri City
Chargers (Gold)-13 vs. Tri City Chargers (Green)-0
Chargers
Gold kept their winning streak alive by winning their 5th game
to stay undefeated. With a combination of a stingy defense and an
efficient offense, good special teams, and brilliant coaching, the team
has still yet to see a loss. The offense of Ryan Skibinski, Brian
Baumgartner, Matthew Peruba, Nicholas Sherman, William Matthews, Brendan
Feichter, Aaron Housenga, Keegan Hughes, Griffin Bellano, Liam Kelly, and
William Gibson put their first points on the scoreboard when Ryan
Skibinski ran 28 yards for a TD. They came through with the extra point
with Griffin Bellano carrying the ball. Defense of Ryan Skibinski,
Matthew Gibson, Tristan Bolin, Nicholas Sherman, Dominic Cosentino, Ryan
St. Peter, Griffin Bellano, Nick Anastasia, Liam Kelly, Matt Peruba and
Jon Chapman forced a fumble with Tristan Bolin recovering the ball which
brought the offense back out. They continued to run the ball down field
using up lots of time and putting 6 more points on the board when Griffin
Bellano scored a TD with only one min. 16 sec. left in the half. After
half time we kicked off and the defense stopped Chargers Green once
again. Ryan Skibinski had some great open field tackles to prevent them
from entering the end zone. Ryan St. Peter, Jon Chapman and Matt Peruba
had some really standout tackles. Gold’s offense was able to come out
again and establish a couple drives that took time off the clock. Gold’s
defense finished the game and prevented Chargers Green from scoring on
their last drive. Everyone did their job and all players were important in
this win. Next week’s opponent Bonebreake will be yet another challenge
however Gold will practice well this week to keep this mean machine on
track!!

Week 6 97LB AFC WHITE (Estrada)
Estrada (White) - 7 vs. Rawson (Silver) - 12 Exciting game!
Our White team came up just short on the final drive, getting stopped in
the red zone on what would have been the winning touchdown drive. The game
began with our offense consuming the entire first quarter on the opening
sustained drive. The drive was stopped on the one yard line. After an
illegal procedure play, our opponent ran an end-around for a 99 yard
touchdown. They had another long pass play in the third quarter which made
the score 0-12. Our defense, lead by Matt Julseth, Jack Morgan, Kevin
Weaver, Nick Funk, Alex Drumheller and Joel Hardy, missed Jack Nitti but was
glad to have Kyle King back on the field (recovered from a broken arm) as
they stuffed both of the extra point attempts. These stops proved critical
as we had a chance to win at the end. Down 0-12, QB Jack Morgan got us a
first down on our important sneak and Austin Gift followed that with a solid
run. Morgan then threw a perfect strike to Joel Hardy for a touchdown, and
Gift ran in the extra point, making the score 7-12. The defense answered the
call next, stopping the opponent without allowing too much time to expire.
The offense, lead all day by a solid line (Coach Estrada’s choice for game
MVP) of Trace Debord (C), Cade Olinger (G), Aidan Flynn (G), Cody Johnson
(T), and Matt Julseth (T), along with ends Abe Swanson / Charlie Downing and
Joel Hardy, and the tough-to-tackle HB Alex Drumheller, nearly answered the
call once again. Austin Gift took over most of the throwing duties on this
final drive, and Abe Swanson made a circus catch to keep the chains moving.
Morgan also got a reception from Gift and followed it with a solid run. A
red zone interception ended the nail-biter for us. We appreciate the
coaches’ patience and valuable instruction, as well as the boys’ positive
attitudes, as we continue to believe IT’S GONNA HAPPEN… GO CHARGERS!!!! |
Week6 97# Rawson
Rawson - 12 vs. Estrada - 7
The Rawson Silver Falcons bounced back from last weekʼs tough defeat with
an inspired performance. Team Estrada took the opening kickoff and slowly
marched down field. Our defense put up a tenacious fight. Jason Turnbull,
Jack Doherty and Peter Eshbaugh all made important tackles to slow down
their progress. Despite our efforts, Team Estrada marched down to the goal
line. Mario Folino, Jack Hood and Julian Desens helped form an
insurmountable barrier that kept the other team out of the end zone on four
straight plays. Team Rawson took over at our own 1 yard line. Behind the
blocks of Jimmy Fleck, Stephen Woodcock, and Connor Williams, Jake Chantos
took the ball and raced around right end flashing his Usain Bolt gold medal
speed flying all the way down field for the touchdown. The Silver Eagles
took a 6-0 lead. The offense tried to strike again before half time but time
ran out as Chris Holloway had a fine pass reception. Early in the second
half our potent offense struck again. On the halfback option, Mike Rawson
made a perfect pass to Cameron Canales who caught the ball and blasted into
the endzone. The Silver Eagles were now up 12-0. Team Estrada came back and
scored to shrink our lead to 12-7. They continued try and score once more
before time ran out. William Fredericks had a loss producing tackle on a
sweep while Jackson Kemple and and Kyle Duermit batted away passes to save
the victory. It was a had fought 12-7 victory.

Week 6 97# Stallmann - Gold
Stallmann - 13 vs Rapp - 6
If the team had a bus they would have came off of it running, the offense
dominated the running game keeping the chain guys busy with all of the 1st
downs. #24 Sam "Untouchable" Grohe had a standout day running the ball (2
TDs) with solid support from the offensive line (#36 Sean Gallagher, #51
Clark Hageman, #62 Jake Kappel, #54 Brady Alexander, #29 Alec Welter, #99
Ryan Goodmiller) and good play management by #3 Justin Galante. #1 Tyler
Welter, #3 Justin Galante, #20 Miles Williams and #34 John Luna also
contributed some big runs. The solid defensive effort stifled the opposing
offense. #54 Brad Alexander had a sack, #11 Jay Stallmann, #7 Bobby Pierce,
#24 Sam Grohe, #36 Sean Gallagher, #16 Matthew Townsend, #20 Miles Williams,
#44 Cole Weede, #1 Tyler Welter, #3 Justin Galante, #34 John Luna, and #99
Ryan Goodmiller all had great tackles #80 Graham "onside" Owen was out for
the game, we hope to see him back in action next week. Next week Gold is
looking forward to their homecoming game against team Dase and hopefully
some cooler weather. GO CHARGERS!! |

WEEK 6 112 PURPLE TC-CHARGERS 112-Purple 12 VS TC-CHARGERS 112 Birkhaug 0
The Middleweight Tri-City team of, JJ Reckards, Grant Schiewe, Bradley
Thomas, Scott Robak, Nick Buseski, Jack Wassel, Sean Chambers, Anthony
Lopez, Blake Saltsman, Will Porteous, Alex Bohanek, Matthew Ceinski, Timothy
Roels, Nicholas Barron and Jesse Martinez, had a resounding comeback against
a good 112 Birkhaug team by defeating them 12-0. The offense gained a net
235 yards on 36 plays , while the defense held Team Birkhaug to a positive
52 yards of total offense. The Purple team took the opening kickoff and
marched down the field with a combination of passing and running only to be
stopped short at the 3 yard line. The reminder of the 1st half the two teams
battled back and forth only to end the half scoreless. Team Birkhaug would
take the first possession pf the 2nd half and go 4 and out. The purple team
would take up the rest of the 3rd quarter and on a pass play from JJ
Reckards to Jack Wassel for a 15 yard gain which would set up a scoring
opportunity. Sean Chambers would gain 9 yards on two carries to set up a
touchdown scoring run by Blake Saltsman who rumbled up the middle for a 6-0
lead. A pass for the extra point would fail. The Purple team would not score
again until late in the 4th quarter. The final TD was set up with some great
running by Wassel and Chambers to get us close. Saltsman would break tackles
and run over some defenders for a hard fought 5 yards for the final score
and a 12-0 lead. Special kudos’ go out to the offensive line for their great
run and pass blocking and to the defensive line for their hard work in
stopping a good team from gaining yardage. We continue to get better every
week. Keep the faith. Things will get better! Remember: GREAT THINGS HAPPEN
TO TEAMS THAT BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!!! PRACTICE HARD WIN
EASY!!!!!!!!! Great job Chargers! |
Week 5 Tri City Chargers Middleweight
Team Vruno 6- Team Kaufman 13
It was a tough day on the gridiron for both teams as much of the offense
took place between the 30 yard lines at each end of the field. As most games
go, there were just a couple of big plays that led Kaufman to a 13-6 victory
on Saturday during a defensive struggle for both sides. Mac Read and Bret
Reed each recorded a sac and Andrew Modjeski came up with a big strip and
recovery late in the 4th that turned the momentum briefly back to the Vruno
side. The defensive line of John Helgeson, Jack Ahern, Matt Loberg, and
Grant Schumock kept the game close all day long. Ahern stopped a sure
touchdown early in the first on a Kaufman run with a great open field
tackle. The only Vruno score came on a J.J. Vruno QB sneak from 1 yard out.
Vruno also threw for 21 yards on the afternoon. Justin Nebel lead the ground
game with 74 yards rushing on 16 carries. The offensive line of Evan
Wiseman, Colin Stuhlmacher, Josh Black, and Riley Kral held off a very
aggressive Kaufman defensive front allowing the Vruno offense to gain 137
Total yards. Jack Housenga, Chris Davis and Cody Kronkow held there own in
the secondary with a combined 8 tackles and came up with some key 4th down
stops. Although the outcome was not favo rable for the Vruno Chargers they
had many positives to hang their h ats on as they still sit with a 3-2
record. Team Vruno will use a bye this upcoming Saturday to rest and prepare
for Team Teafoe on October 11th. |
Week5- 107# Big Ten
Tri-Cities-27 vs. Warren- 6
The Boys are Back! After a disappointing trip to Plainfield, the Chargers
vowed to work hard and bring their A-Game to Campton on Sunday. And bring it
they did. The "Five Henchmen" O-Line of Alec Jacquot, Matt Meyers, John
Vargyas, Brandon Marshall and Matt Leone knocked holes in Warren's defense,
allowing the Charger offense to move the ball for over 300 total yards and
racking up a whopping nine first downs. Quarterback Reid Connolly gutted it
out through an illness to pass for a record 173 yards, including a
sensational 58 yarder to sure handed wide receiver TJ Miller (TD), and an
incredible 79 yard bomb to RB Daniel Santacaterina (TD). Meanwhile, the
triple threat of Ramon Lopez (TD), Nick Derr (TD), and Laren Eustace ran the
ball for a combined 128 yards. On the other side of the ball, the swarming
Charger defense featuring Nick Traxler and Ryan Navigato took turns
pummeling Warren's offense. Ben Slattery and Nick Ferraro each grabbed
interceptions, while Anthony "the spoiler" Scaccia swatted down three passes
that could have otherwise hurt the Chargers. Juddy Huxtable and Mitchell
Riggs had three bone crunching tackles each, and Johnny Jimenez delivered a
hit so hard that it was reportedly heard by Bears' fans waiting to get into
Soldier Field. The boys made a statement this past week. They showed that
they can face adversity head-on and bounce back to play like champions. They
also know that they will need to work even harder this week to get ready for
one of their toughest challenges yet. Look for them to take it to the next
level this coming Sunday in Lake Zurich. Go Chargers! |

MISSING WEIGHT #

Week 6 TCC Middleweight
Team Perry (20points) vs. Team Teafoe (6points)
After a couple of week layoff due to flooding and a bye week, Team Perry
used their well rested muscles to dominate the game against Team Teafoe.
Team Perry scored the first touchdown and never looked back as they won the
game 20-6. As Coach Perry, Adduci and Tortorice said after the game, the
defensive ends (Tommie Fink and Charlie Tortorice) really stepped it up and
played one heck of a game. On Defense, Alex Filipos, Ben Strah, Luke Juriga,
Lance Arni, Tyler Lovestrand, Kyle Khoury, Brock Perry, Nick Edlund, Matt
Fisher, Jake Clodi and Anthony Adduci all provided great coverage and
tackling to keep team Teafoe to 6 points. Our defense caused many incomplete
passes and several fumbles with their hard work and determination. There
were too many great tackles to acknowledge all of them but it goes to show
how everyone is working hard together. Kyle Khoury had a huge interception
in the 1st Quarter that began the run toward our first touchdown of the
game. Our offense led by Tyler Lovestrand continues to prove that they can
put points on the board against even the toughest defenses. Nick Edlund and
Anthony Adduci continue to push great runs through the holes created by our
line DJ Rizzi, Erik Boehmer, Lance Arni, Jacob Asquini and Luke Juriga.
Edlund went on to have 2 touchdown runs, one on a sweep for 47 yards. Again
the offense continues to protect Lovestrand and allow him the time to
execute some great passes to both Jake Clodi and Brock Perry for first
downs. Special teams once again proved fatal against the opposing team. In
addition to a couple of nice kickoffs, Lance Arni completed an extra point
by kicking one through the uprights. While receiving the kickoff after the
first half, Kyle Koury ran the ball back all the way for a touchdown giving
our team a 14-0 lead starting the third quarter. Another great week for Team
Perry finishing the game with a 20-6 win over Team Teafoe. Go Chargers! |
