2008 “We are
proud to
announce
the
cheerleading
division of
the TriCity
Youth
Football
League has
separated
and created
a non-profit
cheerleading
and pom
organization.
The
new entity
is known as
TriCity
Cheer and Pom
Association
(TCCPA). The
purpose of
the
corporation
is to
promote
organized
youth
cheerleading
and pom in a
league
exclusively
for
elementary
grade school
children.
The goal is
to focus on
developing
participants
into
exceptional
athletes.
Registration
is beginning
now, so

On Sunday
November 4,
the Tri City
Chargers
Junior JV
pom squad
competed in
the
Grayslake
Competition
in Lake Zurich, Illinois, where they placed exceptionally
well. The
girls danced
their way to
the top with
their pom
routine
allowing
them to take
first place.
Their head
coach Nancy
Shares and
assistant
coach Karen
Zenner had
only a few
months to
create the
routine and
then it was
up to the
girls to
perfect it.
This squad
of
twenty-eight
girls
preformed
many jumps,
pom passes,
and creative
dance moves
to take
their first
place title.
On Sunday
September
23, the Tri
City
Chargers
Advanced
Varsity
squad
competed in
the
Bloomingdale
Blast
competition
at Lake Park
West High
School,
where they
started off
their season
exceptionally
well. The
girls stole
first place
with their
knock out
routine
created by
their coach,
Jessica
Taylor and
their junior
coaches
Caitlin
Mullins and
April Fichter.
This squad
of fifteen
middle
school girls
preformed
many stunts,
jumps as
well as a
dance
routine and
a cheer
section to
take their
title.
